Mountain Dew Code Red wins International Marketing award

The New Zealand Mountain Dew Code Red campaign last night won a Silver Echo Award, which is an international marketing award.


The ECHO Awards recognise the world's best direct marketing campaigns which have raised the bar in terms of strategy, creativity and results.


The Code Red campaign "Don't Dew this at home" was an interactive TV and online campaign that involved three young men who did extreme tricks such as high flying wakeboarding moves out of a house window onto the water below.


Judges chose the Silver ECHO award winners based on overall creative concepts including their strategy and consumer response rates.


Marketing campaigns from right around the world were recognised with these awards, so for the New Zealand Mountain Dew Code Red campaign to be one of the winners is a massive achievement.
