Mountain Dew Skate Pinball wins Cannes Lion

The New Zealand Mountain Dew team are proud to now have two Cannes Lions under their belt for their fantastic work with the Mountain Dew Skate Pinball.
The team this week have received a bronze in the outdoor category section and silver in the cyber category of the Cannes Festival of Creativity awards.
The awards are the most prestigious international creative communications awards in the world, and this year attracted over 30,000 entries, with delegates from 90 countries attending the event, where they can view creativity at its best.
The Skate Pinball campaign ran through mid-2011 and followed the journey of the build of a life sized pinball machine that was a skate park. It included a variety of online and outdoor advertising and was a huge hit with the skater community turning up in droves to check it out.
It also gained an abundance of media coverage both in New Zealand and around the world, with celebrities even tweeting about its creation. The campaign has won a range of other awards in New Zealand, however winning a Cannes Lion is a significant achievement, and one that the team involved in the campaign are very proud of.
