Sales Team raise money for Starlight Children’s Foundation

Eight members of the Australian National Sales Team have been fundraising and training hard in preparation for the Great Adventure Challenge, a gruelling competition created to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

 

The Frucor team, consisting of four female and four males will be challenged on two levels.

 

First they have to prepare physically for the multi-disciplined event, where they take place in a range of activities from mountain biking to kayaking.

 

Secondly they are fundraising for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, a charity that helps to bring happiness to seriously ill and hospitalised children throughout Australia. The charity was established in 1988, and since then have been delivering innovative programs designed to bring laughter and fun to children when they most need it.

 

Tracy Wright, a member of the Frucor team, says the team have done a lot of training and fundraising, so far raising around $10,000 for the charity.

 

“The team has been training very hard, both in organised group sessions and also individual programs.

 

“We have also run several fundraising events including a trivia night, raffle and head office breakfast. As well as this we have had many generous donations from friends and family who are keen to support the team and the great charity the event is raising funds for,” says Tracy.

 

The team will compete this Saturday the 23rd of October. Congratulations on all of your fundraising efforts and best of luck for the challenge!
