Suntory Limited (‘Suntory’) and Danone Asia Pte Limited (‘Danone’) announced on October 24th they have reached an agreement on the acquisition of Frucor Beverages Group Limited (‘Frucor’) by Suntory.

Founded in 1899 and headquartered in Tokyo, Suntory is a leading beverage and food company in Asia. The business comprises an extensive product portfolio ranging from whiskey, beer and wine to ready-to-drink teas, coffees, water and isotonic and health foods. The addition of Frucor adds a portfolio of leading brands and significantly expands Suntory’s international beverage operations, providing an excellent growth platform in New Zealand and Australia.

Suntory employs about 20,800 people in 182 companies around the world, and has strong goals and values like Frucor.
